Hi, I’m Dr. Julie Meade, a licensed clinical psychologist based in Cincinnati, Ohio, providing online and in-person individual therapy to adults throughout Ohio and Kentucky. I am passionate about working with people who are anxious, depressed, stressed, or burnt out and looking to find balance in their lives.

I know what it’s like to feel caught up in the daily grind — like life is passing you by.

You have always achieved what you set your mind to, and on the outside, you are everything to everyone. On the inside, you are wondering why you are not feeling as fulfilled as you expected.

Maybe you’re overwhelmed with work, parenting, caregiving, or school. You’re happy to take on these roles in your life, but you find yourself asking, “If everything in my life is so great, why do I feel this bad?”

Maybe you’re feeling burnt out and like you don’t have anything left to give in your relationships or your work – let alone have any time or energy left for yourself.

Maybe you’re finding yourself completely shut down and disengaged to the point where you are struggling to accomplish your goals, but you’re not sure what or how to change. You wonder why, no matter how hard you try, it never feels like enough.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, a big life change, or general stress that has you feeling overwhelmed and stuck, therapy can help.

I have extensive experience working with clients struggling in these areas, and I offer a warm, open space for you to better understand yourself and connect with your values.

Through therapy, you can rediscover your genuine, authentic self – and what’s most important to you. This discovery process will also help you tend to your own needs and wellness, so your life begins to reflect your values and priorities. We can work together to figure out what still fits, what needs to change, and how to feel better. My work with clients is centered in helping you expand your coping skills, challenge your thinking patterns, and unlock your values and priorities so they can take center stage in your life.

If we are a good fit, we’ll schedule your first appointment, called an intake appointment. Because it’s important to learn more about you and your therapy needs, I will send you some paperwork to complete before we meet that will help us know where to start.

At this appointment, I’ll conduct a comprehensive intake, which includes gathering more information about your background, experiences, treatment history, and context for what has led you to seek therapy. At the end of that session, we’ll discuss your goals for therapy.

During each regular session, after the intake appointment, I will check in at the beginning about you hope to get out of our time that day. Sometimes you might not know, which is okay. Together, we’ll explore what makes the most sense to focus on.

During the session, you can expect that we’ll focus on your therapy goals in various ways, such as understanding something that’s going on in your life, learning new skills, identifying themes or patterns, or working on incorporating your values and priorities into your life more effectively. At the end of each session, I’ll check in again to see how you are feeling and if we made progress in the area you hoped.

Your needs, goals, and hopes guide the therapy process, and I’m honored to support you on your journey. Let’s dig in together.
